The Felix Organization

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to chaperone a handful of youth at the Felix Organization‘s annual Thanksgiving dinner at Hill Country. The event gives NYC’s children in foster care a chance to come together and let their talents shine on the dance floor and the open mic.

Here are the Felix Organization co-founders, Sheila Jaffe and Darryl McDaniels, speaking to the crowd as adoptees about the importance of supporting our children.

Across from me sat a budding poet whose rhymes attracted the attention of more than a few adults, including DMC himself.
